In 2006, Temple Emeth member May Long formed Christians and Jews United for Israel, whose mission is to develop a multi-denominational, grass-roots constituency to provide factual information about Israel and its people. CJUI’s members, officers, steering committee and advisory board include prominent Christian and Jewish community leaders, activists and clergy who are concerned about Israel’s security, welfare, future and treatment by the media. Its annual Genesis Awards are presented to individuals in honor of their courageous leadership and enduring love for Israel.
