On November 2, 2002, The Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework, Greater Boston Chapter, held the first "official show" in the Cantor Simon Kandler Art Gallery at Temple Emeth. The new gallery was named for our first and long-time cantor Simon Kandler of blessed memory.

The Pomegranate Guild's Boston Chapter embarked on its 2002 Summer Challenge to create art from a text. The prayer "Sim Shalom" served as the focus of the Challenge.

The Boston Chapter's exhibit this year is titled "Pieces of Peace". On display are works of knitting, embroidery, patchwork, applique, and other techniques.

Members of the Boston Chapter come from all around the Boston area.
