Please join Dr. Davin Wolok, Hazzan Sheni, for his Post Kiddush Torah Study sessions every other Shabbat.

The title for the study sessions will be "The Torah as a Twenty-First Century Document."

The description is as follows: As human beings living millennia after the Torah was composed we assume that whatever we find in it reflects ancient doctrines and opinions. The thesis of our post-Kiddush Torah Study Sessions will be that, in fact, the Torah reflects life as lived now and offers solutions to our problems which are contemporary in their relevance. The struggle for authentic identity, the balancing of self-assertion and the affirmation of the other in love, the need for a Higher Source of Meaning, the significance of the quest for a morally and spiritually more perfect future, these and other themes define life in all times, and the revolutionary insights of the Torah are as valid today as when they were first enunciated. Join us for a journey into an ancient document which will bring you into a more richly and meaningfully experienced present.
